Clicking the icon will automatically launch your default e-mail client and compose a message with instructions for how to view the server in the Capture Pilot iPad/iPhone app or web browser. Once Capture Pilot server is started, you can easily invite people to your session by clicking the mail icon in the bottom right corner of the tool. Make note of your IP address and ports as you will need them in future steps. In my session the Mobile port is 58850 and the Web port is 8080.
For consistency and convenience, you can manually set a port number for both Mobile and Web, if require. Note that the IP address and port number for your computer may differ from the images in this article since Capture One randomly sets a unique port number each time you start and stop the image server. Each device tab within the Capture Pilot tool provides advanced configuration for viewing permissions such as theme, rating, color tagging, adjusting, and capturing images as well as defining a custom port number. Once started, Capture Pilot will publish photos to a local IP address on two unique port numbers one port for viewing using the Capture Pilot iPad/iPhone app and a second port for viewing using a web browser. When starting the image server with the “Publish To” option set to Mobile and Web, and click “Start Image Server” to begin publishing.

I have left the password blank for ease of use, however it is strongly recommended that you set a password to secure access to your session since other people on the same (possibly shared) network would be able to access the photos if they were aware of the Capture Pilot server IP address and port.
